One of the biggest reasons that many restaurant jobs arent that much different than office jobs is the fact that restaurants dont have the same kind of hierarchy in the work place. Restaurants are more structured that offices, so you have higher stakes and higher pay. Of course, the pay isnt as good as other jobs because restaurants tend to have more physical labor involved. In other words, you generally dont get paid as much for the same amount of effort.
