I spend a lot of time in my apartment, and it can be the smell of fresh laundry detergent or the smell of a freshly baked bagel on a Saturday morning that makes me feel as if I am in the midst of an elaborate experiment. It is a lot like that when it comes to smells.

That’s what I do to keep myself alert when I’m at home alone. On days when I’m not working I’ll just take a quick walk around my apartment and see if I can identify a particular smell that might be on the scene. I also like to do this when I’m in the house and am not too busy.
This is something that I do for work too. I think if you want to keep yourself motivated while at work, you have to keep your mind active.
