The only way we will ever change our workplace culture is when we all become aware of our own biases, which is a slow process.
In my opinion, there are two types of diversity in the workplace: one type is the type that comes from inside the workplace, like people who are born, raised, and educated in their particular culture. One type is the type that comes from outside, like people who are brought in from a different culture. Both types have their place. But the workplace where there is no diversity is not a good workplace for all of us.
