My friend, a financial planner and consultant, has been telling me about the three levels of self-awareness that financial planners are talking about.
The first level is to “get it” and be aware of what you’re doing. The second level is to “listen” to your gut and be aware of what your gut is telling you. The third level is to “follow your gut” and be aware of what your gut is telling you.
This is exactly the advice we give our clients for getting that third level of self-awareness. We have a few clients who have told us that they had a hard time with the first two, but the third level has really helped them.
What’s interesting is that, at the beginning of the game, you get a free option to invest in a business you can run your own. While it’s tempting to invest in a company because your profits are guaranteed, it does put a lot of pressure on you to make sure youre actually getting the right results. After all, you’re not just buying into a business with 100% certainty and being 100% sure that youll be making money.
Thats right. For a bit of an over-the-top story line, Grenada is essentially a financial simulation game. You play a character who gets to decide how much he wants to take away from this company. Youll get to decide how much you want to take away from the company for a variety of reasons, but the core concept is that youll need to make money in order to keep making games.
Grenada is very much in the same vein as the other game we reviewed last week. It’s a sim. So you can make money by taking away money from the company. But it’s also very much a game-versus-game. The more money you make, the more youll get to take away from the company. In fact, there’s a really cool concept called the “poverty curve”.
The concept here is that the more money you save up the more money you can take from the company as well. The more money you take out, the less money youll have to come in and get taken away from the company.
On a slightly different note, grenada ms is a game where you can play as a team. Youll be one player and youll be playing with others. And on grenada ms, youll be playing with people you know. Youll be able to make friends, make enemies, make alliances, and be the one teaming up against the other team to make them their own.
